Tsunami Of Visa Applications To UK Immigration After BREXIT

After BREXIT UK has seen many changes in almost all sectors, UK’s economy got hit and employment options have slimmed down. However one thing has increased enormously and that is the visa applications for permanent residency to UK. A study carried out by Oxford Universities Migration Observatory, have informed that UK migration will face 140 years worth of visa applications if all Europeans currently in Britain apply for residency after Brexit.

UK immigration officials process approximately 25,500 PR applications from EU nationals yearly, which has been drastically increased and the observatory claimed that entire 3.5 million EU nationals presently residing in UK apply for PR it would be equivalent of processing visa applications worth 140 years in just 12 months.

It is a known fact that the application for UK permanent residency is in 85 pages length, which includes huge list of required documents and details, however this application is not required for EU nationals but the requirements make most of the students, retired people and unemployed being in-eligible for permanent visa status. The observatory inform that the overall EU immigration living in UK sum about 471,000 approximately, may also find it difficult to remain in the UK if they fail to provide paperwork proving they have been in the country from past five years.
