Two Communities In Canadian Rural Northern Pilot Accepting Applications

Canada’s most awaited Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot is eventually opening to applications. Employers in 11 communities in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia are part of this Pilot.

Candidates who are advised by participating communities will be able to apply for Canada PR.

Out of 11 the below three communities' websites is now live and dedicated to the Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot Program and the remaining 8 communities planning to come soon.

1) Sault Ste. Marie, ON

2) Altona / Rhineland Manitoba

3) Thunder Bay, ON

1 & 2 are now accepting applications from candidates ready with a permanent & full-time genuine employment offer.

While Thunder Bay is still accepting the inquiries from the local employers interested to be part of the pilot. List of approved employers and job vacancies sill b available from Dec 2019 and further application will be accepted form Jan 2020.

Comprehensive Application Process

The initial step in the immigration process by the RNIP is to receive an eligible employment offer from an authorized employer in one of the engaging communities.

Candidates with a suitable employment offer can apply for a community recommendation and, if accepted, provide an application for Canadian PR from IRCC.

There will a minimum number of recommendations from each community and this number is expected to be 100.

The permanent residents' number coming to Canada by this pilot will depend on the requirements of the engaging communities and the number of immigrants they can welcome.

Projected PR from this program is excepted to be 2750 principal applicants and their families. Applicants have to meet the federal and community requirements apart from a mandate genuine job offer.

Candidates with a spouse will also earn points for the below:

• Spouse with a genuine job offer in a priority profession OR at least 2 years of full-time, constant work experience in a preference occupation
• Spouse with a Canada Language Benchmark (C.L.B) of 5 in each category (listening, writing, reading, and oral).
