UK Advisory Body Advises Salary Hike For Immigrant Workers

UK government’s independent body, the Migration Advisory Committee in its new report, stressed on to increase the salary threshold of the skilled professionals willing to Migrate to the UK.

The committee advised the Government to set 30,000 Euros as starting salaries to the companies offering jobs to foreign nationals. Besides this, the committee has stressed on skill development and industries dependence on large-scale foreign professionals to fill the gap.

The advisory committee in its detail report has suggested charging an annual fee of 1000 Euros on employers, recruiting foreign nationals under the skilled stream. The annual fee collected from the companies hiring foreign nationals would be used for the welfare of UK workers.

In the year 2014 alone UK allowed 151,000 workers along with their families to settle in the country. The UK is the part of global economy, and it is not the only country providing opportunities to the international talent. There are numerous countries welcoming; however, the multi-national companies in the globalization era create Job opportunities to the locals along with the international professionals.
