The government of the United Kingdom has issued proposals to revise the fees charged for nationality, visas and immigration applications and the premium services associated with them.
Upon approval from the Parliament, the new fee changes will be applied from 6th April, 2014, and some of the overseas premium services fees will be applied from 31st March, 2014.
According to the proposals, most of the fees are being increased by 4 percent, including the fee for short-term visit visa to UK. The United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA) stated that to limit the wider general rises, it has proposed other targeted increases.
UKBA also mentioned that these increases will allow them to improve the customer service, and enable them to start offering optional premium services. Some of which are:
