UK New Statement Of Changes To Immigration Rules

James Brokenshire, Minister of State for Security and Immigration, has laid down statement of changes to the immigration rules.

These changes will lay limitations on those currently staying in UK on a Tier 1 (Post Study Work) or Tier 4 (Student) visa and planning  to extend their stay in the country by making an in-country application for Tier1(Entrepreneur) visa. 

With the new limitations, students will only be authorized to switch to Tier1 (Entrepreneur) visa by using funds given by source approved by the government, and post-study workers have to present extra proof of their business activities. Besides, those students who fail to produce proof for establishing a genuine business will not be authorized to switch to entrepreneur visa from post study route.

Moreover, according to the new changes, tests provided by CIE (Cambridge International Examinations), and certain tests provided by Cambridge English and Trinity College London will be removed from the list of authorized English language tests.

Furthermore, a new scheme called ‘mathematics teacher exchange’ scheme will be added to Tier 5 (Government Authorised Exchange) route.
