UK Skilled Immigrants To Meet New Codes Of Practice

UKBA would change various codes of practices in points-based visa system for skilled immigrants who come from non-EEA countries. These changes would be effective from 6^th April 2013.

The changes include:

Changes to the lists of skilled occupations

The skill lists in demand would be updated as per current labour market conditions.

Changes to salary requirements      

The minimum appropriate wages for skilled workers would be changed as per the inflation. This would mostly affect the Tier 2 category.

Changes to the way the resident labour market test is conducted

The resident labour market test would be more flexible giving employers more freedom to advertise while ensuring settled workers have the opportunity to apply for jobs.
