UK Student Visas To Be Streamlined

United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA) along with some universities is running a pilot scheme on student visas to streamline the process and filter frauds from students. Student visa is the permit which is mostly misused by immigrants to enter UK.

Damian Green, British immigration minister assures that this will benefit both students and universities. Genuine students with interest to study in UK will have more chance of entering UK. Universities and colleges will be able to get more talented and bright students. British universities are the most preferred universities by students across the world.

The project by UKBA will train university staffs on various areas like initial recruitment of abroad students, ways to report to UKBA and different ways to ensure that universities meet their responsibilities.

This scheme has been designed for universities and colleges, and UKBA has developed a planned service list, that includes:

• Recruit an account manager for this process only

• Training programs for universities

• More events to be organized by both UKBA and universities on student visa

• Quick check on potential students

• Prepare a report on monthly basis about overseas students who have taken admissions.
