UK To Launch Passport Pass-back Pilot Scheme In South India

UK announced a passport pass-back pilot scheme for southern India. This will allow applicants to keep their passports at the time of their visa processing.

Officials said that this will allow applicants to apply for another visa or travel simultaneously and cut down the time to get two visas.

Further, High value companies of India will benefit from mobile visa clinic, which will be initiated in the coming year to allow people to apply for visas without having to visit the visa application centers.

Great Club is also being launched by the UK. This is an invitation only service to present top business executives with support from UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration). The Great Club will be starting the coming year as a pilot plan for a 12-month period for business leaders who have strong links to the country.

The members of the Great Club will have to go through the same visa checks that any other applicant goes through. However, they will be provided services from their first application of visa to their arrival in Britain.

An account manager will ensure their Immigration and Visa Services are swift. The manager will provide visa services tailored to individual needs without any extra cost during the pilot period.

Theresa May, the British home secretary said that she created UKVI to focus on delivering ‘excellent customer service’ and these changes will allow them to maintain a competitive, world-class visa system that can be established in order to cater to the ever-changing needs of business and guarantee the success of the UK in the global race.

She said Britain will continue to answer the needs of high-priority and high-value businesses to maintain them with services that encourage economic growth while protecting border security.

These new additions will be following the successful introduction of same-day visa service in India.
