USICS Proposes New Immigration Rules For Foreign Investors

The United States Immigration and Citizenship Services (USICS) have announced new immigration rules for the foreign investors on August 26, 2016. The plan enables the beneficiaries to stay in the United States for two years. Further, the permit would be extended up to five years.

The immigration rules proposed by the Department of Homeland Security require the approval of Congress.

To apply for this investment visa, the prospective applicant must play an active role and must be stakeholder of the United States business. The company must have been established in the last three years.

Foreign investors from any filed can apply for this visa, but this rule would be more significant to the technology sector.  Making an easy immigration route for startup founders has been the top priority of the Obama administration.
