Vienna Is Once Again Rated As The Most Livable City

In the global city rankings compiled by the executive search company Mercer, Vienna was once again rated to be the most livable city in the world. In the past two years Vienna also placed first in the study. Managers from foreign institutions and companies were interviewed for the rankings on the basis of 39 different criteria such as social services, health and education system as well as transportation. 221 cities around the world were evaluated, with European cities comprising most of the top 25. Zurich (Switzerland) and Auckland (New Zealand) were rated second and third respectively after Vienna, with Munich placing fourth.
