Visa Delays Leave Indian Students Stranded In UK

Some of the overseas students including some Indians have been stranded in the UK for holidays without passports. They are not able to get home for Christmas and New Year holidays after the order from UKBA to reapply their visas.

This action was taken after sudden closure of London Metropolitan University.

“It was really confused and chaotic. We had no idea what we were supposed to do and how we were supposed to go about it. I haven't been back [home] for a year and I was really looking forward to going back because it was my best friend's wedding...I'm still quite upset about missing it”
