Western Australian Province Announces Job Openings For Skilled Workers

Australia’s western province on 1 February 2017 has announced a number of job openings in the region. It comes as a wonderful opportunity to foreign workers who are facing uncertainty over US government’s new visa norms. The western Australian province has announced work opportunity in two schedules, which are termed critical to the state. There are several opportunities in management field, professional front, technicians, traders and community service work.

Candidates who are looking to apply must have relevant experience in a particular profession as specified by the Western Australian Skilled Migration Occupation List (WASMOL). If you are eligible for any of the professions list by WASMOL, you can apply for State Nomination under any of two different categories.

•        Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190)
•        Skilled Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 489)

Below are few of the skilled occupations available in the region:

Schedule 1:

Managers: Beef Cattle Farmer, Dairy Cattle Farmer, Sheep farmer, Fleet manager, Mixed Crop and Livestock Farmer and Grain, oilseed or pasture grower.

Professionals: Sonographer, Aero plane Pilot, Flying Instructor, Cardiologist, Neurologist, Psychiatrist, neurosurgeon, Orthopedic Surgeon, Urologist and several other professionals in medical field.

In the category of Technicians and Trades Workers, “Horse Trainer” is the only available skilled occupation.

Schedule 2:

Managers: Human Resource manager, Engineering Manager, Child-Care center Manager, School Principle, Hotel manager and ICT Project manager.

Professionals: Structural Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Aeronautical Engineer, Biomedical Engineer, Geophysicist, Biotechnologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Dental Specialist, Physiotherapist and more.

Technicians and Trade Workers: Anesthetic Technician, Building Inspector, Meat inspector, Pharmacy Technician, Aircraft maintenance Engineer, Air-conditioning and Refrigerator Mechanic, Electrical Line Workers Telecommunications Cable Jointers, Telecommunications Technicians and more.
