British Columbia PNP: Indians Received 29 Percent Of Nominations In 2018

Indians obtained the biggest number of nominations from the British Columbia province in the previous year 2018, announces a new report from the government of the province. As per the report, 29% of all the nominations from the province announced by the Skills Immigration streams of British Columbia PNP went to Indian appellants. Indians were accompanied by China, Brazil, and South Korea in terms of the number of nominations received.

According to the report, nominations announced through the Skills Immigration program of British Columbia PNP have increased significantly. BC PNP announced a sum of 1,607 nominations to SI: Skilled Worker applicants in the year 2018, related to 1,218 in the year 2017. Nominations announced by the SI: the International Post-Graduate Category and Entry Level and Semi-Skilled category were also on the rise. The proportion of provincial nominations announced to tech workers rose in 2018 to 19.7% compared to 17.2% in the year 2017.

British Columbia PNP Express Entry

British Columbia announced a sum of 3100 nominations from the province through its Express Entry-associated streams in 2018. Of these, approximately 2000 nominations given to applicants in the Express Entry BC: Skilled Worker Category, while the remaining 936 nominations were announced through the Express Entry BC: International Graduate Category of British Columbia PNP.

Related to the year 2017, the provincial nominations announced by British Columbia by its Express Entry-associated immigration streams has observed an increase by 750. The nominations announced to Express Entry applicants also estimated for 48% of total nominations announced by BC PNP in 2018.

Express Entry BC Categories

The BC PNP has four categories of Express Entry BC Stream associated with the Express Entry system:

• EEBC: International Graduate
• EEBC: International Post-Graduate
• EEBC: Skilled Worker
• EEBC: Healthcare Professional

In 2018, British PNP announced 1987 nominations by EEBC: Skilled Worker category. It indicates an increment of 806 in number related to 2017 and an increment of 1188 related to 2016. The number of invitations announced by the EEBC: Healthcare Professional & International Post-Graduate categories have also observed an increase.
