Canadian Government Launches Two New Pilot Programs For Care Givers

Caregivers can bring their children and spouses with them to Canada and have a permanent residence pathway below the two new pilot programs being launched by the immigration authorities of Canada.

The modern five-year pilots will substitute the present programs due to expire following in 2019, defined as inefficient by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

Plenty of caregivers in Canada will be released by the statement, after being left in isolation over what would occur when present pilots expire later in 2019.

Advantages of the New Pilot Programs

The modern pilots, named the Home Support Worker Pilot and  Home Child Care Provider Pilot, will also provide caregivers excellent flexibility to switch jobs, Ahmed Hussen, Canada Immigration Minister declared on Saturday, Jan 23, 2019.

Hussen stated: Caregivers give care to families in Canada that require it, and it’s chance for Canada to care for those people. We are giving them with both the possibility to bring their members of the family here and obtain permanent residency to show Canada commitment.

Significant changes below the new pilots will see candidates evaluated against permanent residence criteria prior to they begin work in Canada.

Once 02 years of work experience has been obtained on a first work permit, applicants will have a direct pathway to become a Canadian permanent resident, IRCC says.

During the first two years, the applicant's can bring their spouse and children with them to Canada on Study Permits or open Work Permits.

The modern pilots substitute the present Caring for People and Caring for Children with High Medical Requirements programs.

Following a promise made in the year 2017, I.R.C.C has decreased 94% of the caregiver PR backlog and lessen the processing times from the existing 60 months to 12 months.

The Home Support Worker Pilot and the Home Child Care Provider Pilot will start later in 2019 and have the highest of 2,750 primary candidates each, for a total of 5,500 primary candidates, per year. Dependent children and Spouses/common-law partners will not add against the limit.
