The Canada unemployment rate declined to 5.8 percent in February 2018, according to the figures announced by the Federal Government of Canada
The increase in the number of working people during the month was 15,400 in the country and the total was 283,000 in the last year, registering an upward trend of 1.5 percent.
The gains for the yearly basis have been seen totally in full-time work, and the number of hours of work by Canadians increased to 3.2 percent, generating economic growth.
In February the increase in employment for the age group of 25 -54 years was seen for both men and women, with insignificant change for young and old people.
The increase of 41,000 seen in the core-age employment was 22,000 for men rise and 19,000 for women.

Good results were seen in the Provinces in February as per the Statistical Survey of Canada Labour Force.
New Brunswick saw an increase of 5,100 full-time jobs which corresponded to1.5 percent increase during the month.
In Nova Scotia, the employment increased by 2,800, which corresponded to an increase of 0.6 percent. In 2017, employment increased by 10,000 in the province, registering an increase of 2.3 percent, and the present unemployment rate stood at 7.9 percent.
Ontario registered an increase of 15,700 jobs during the month, and the unemployment rate was 5.5 percent in the province. The British Columbia had a rate of 4.7 percent.

There was a large increase in the Healthcare and social assistance in February as per the industry segment jobs data in Canada. The increase registered was 25,000.
Among Other services, like repair and maintenance, the increase registered for the month was 17,000 jobs.
The sectors of transportation and warehousing had a monthly figure going up by 13,000 making it a 12-month increase of 48,000 jobs, corresponding to 5.1 percent.
The increase registered in other industries was public administration (9,000) educational services (12,000), and natural resources (7,600).
Even the public sector employment saw a job increase of 50,000 in February, and the change in the private sector was negligible. The self-employed people faced a declined by 43,000.
