PEI PNP: Latest Expression Of Interest Draw Issues 153 Invitations

Prince Edward Island PNP invited 153 applicants to apply for a PEI provincial nomination in the most recent Expression of Interest draw that conducted on 20 February 2020. The invited applicants belonged to the PEI Express Entry, PEI Business Impact and PEI Labour Impact categories of Prince Edward Island's Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP). While 143 out of 153 total invitations were obtained by the            PEI Labour Impact category candidates and PEI Express Entry category candidates, the outstanding 10 invitations went to PEI Business Impact category candidates.

PEI's Express Entry Category

This specific category of PEI PNP is connected to the federal Express Entry system. To be counted for a Prince Edward Island provincial nomination through the PEI Express Entry, the candidates should first present an Expression of Interest profile with the Prince Edward Island PNP. Each profile is given a scorecard based on the PEI PNP points grid and contestants with the highest scores are encouraged to apply for a PEI provincial nomination in the Expression of Interest draws of PEI PNP. The candidates who hold PEI PNP's provincial nomination will get 600 extra Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score points.

PEI's Labour Impact Category

This category is for those who have a valid employment offer from PEI employer they can apply for a PEI provincial nomination by the Labour Impact category with the help of their company. This category also has the EOI system for submitting applications.

The PEI PNP officials have not published a breakdown of invitations announced to the both PEI Express Entry and PEI Labour Impact categories in the most recent PEI PNP's Expression of Interest draw, and also the minimum required EOI scores in these categories are also not announced.

PEI's Business Impact category

10 candidates in this category were received Invitations to Apply in the most recent PEI PNP's EOI draw by the Business Impact's Work Permit Stream. The required minimum EOI score was 122. The Work Permit Stream focuses on the entrepreneurs who intend to own and manage a business in PEI.
