Rural And Northern Pilot: Vernon B.C. Is Now Accepting Applications

On 1 February 2020, the Vernon community, British Columbia, became the 4th community engaging in the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (R.N.I.P) to start accepting applications. There are 7 more communities in the pilot that have not yet started accepting applications, and while the program is undergoing some delays, most of the communities should start accepting applications from candidates in the coming months.

While adding the beautiful Vernon community, BC, the 4 communities that are presently accepting applications include:

• Vernon community, British Columbia
• Sault Ste-Marie community, Ontario
• Brandon community, Manitoba
• Altona/Rhineland community, Manitoba

Applicants who are curious about applying need to make sure that they satisfy the federal criteria for the program, plus the additional criteria set out by each community. It includes an eligible offer of a job from an organization in one of the engaging communities.

Participating Communities

11 rural and northern communities over the four Canadian provinces have been chosen as part of the current Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot. These communities some of them already have populations of higher than 100,000 can invite immigrants to make these communities as their new homes.
