Saskatchewan provincial immigration issued 308 invitations to immigration applicants to apply for a Saskatchewan provincial nomination in its most recent draw that held on January 9.
This is the initial draw of the year 2020 for the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee (S.I.N.P) Program. Invitations went to applicants in both the Express Entry & Occupations In-Demand categories.
Applicants didn't need an employment offer to be invited for a Saskatchewan provincial nomination in this draw. However, they did require finishing an Expression of Interest (E.O.I) with the Saskatchewan P.N.P. They also required one year of relevant work experience in a In-demand skilled profession that is related to their area of study.
Once E.O.I profiles are provided, the SINP evaluates them on human capital factors such as age of applicant, educational level, skilled work experience, language proficiency, and links to Saskatchewan. They are then granted a score out of 100 points depends on the S.I.N.P’s Global Skilled Worker Points Evaluation Grid.
The score defines candidate’s rank in the E.O.I pool and the top scoring appellants are given with invitations to apply by the regular draws. In both the categories, aspirants needed a minimum of 69 points in order to be invited in the most recent SINP selection round.
The Saskatchewan PNP announced 142 invitations to apply to candidates who had their active profiles in the Express Entry pool.
This category is connected with the federal Express Entry system, which controls the pool of applicants for 3 economic immigration classes:
If applicants in the pool of Express Entry also filled out a Saskatchewan EOI, and if they scored 69 points on the SINP’s skilled worker Points Evaluation Grid they may have been picked in the most recent round of invitation.
This popular category is open to immigration applicants without a profile in the federal Express Entry.
There were 166 candidates in this category were received invitations to apply for a Saskatchewan provincial nomination, and similar to the Saskatchewan Express Entry Category, candidates need to have a provincial score of 69 points to be chosen.
The S.I.N.P uses a List of Excluded Occupations rather than an in-demand occupations list. This is to enable more flexibility in reacting to the changing needs of the province’s labor market.
The 9 January 2019 draw declared invitations to apply to candidates in 82 professions. Some of these in-demand professions comprise agriculture managers, administrative officers, and electronic service technicians for business equipment and household.
