Saskatchewan conducted its third invitation round on 8 October 2019, inviting 559 candidates in Occupation In-Demand & Express Entry to apply for a nomination from the province for Canadian PR.
The Saskatchewan PNP has been issuing invitations to intended immigrants every week since it increased the list of professions that are eligible below its sub-categories of Occupation In-Demand & Express Entry on 18 September 2019.
Since then, the S.I.N.P has announced 1,938 invitations by both sub-categories over 3 draws.
A minimum of one-year work experience in a qualified occupation related to one’s study field is required below both the Occupation In-Demand and Express Entry sub-categories, along with other eligibility criteria.
A Saskatchewan job offer and also work experience in Canada are not required.
The choice to release the S.I.N.P’s In-Demand Occupation List in favor of a Banned Occupation List noticed the number of eligible occupations jump from 19 to 218.
All 3 draws since the list was released have targeted applicants with required work experience in a broad range of professions.
Candidates chosen in the draw took place on 8 October 2019 had work experience in one of the below 15 professions. “NOC” indicates their National Occupation Classification (N.O.C) code:
The October 8 draw attends major draws conducted on 2 October and 25 September. The October 2 draws represented a sum of 610 invitations to applicants in both sub-categories, while the 25 September draw announced 769.
Those who invited have 60 days to appeal for a nomination from the province for Canadian PR. If nominated by the province of Saskatchewan, applicants have effectively secured an opportunity to appeal for Canada PR.
This sub-category is associated with the federal Express Entry system. Out of the total 559 candidates invited to apply on 8 October draw, 231 were Express Entry applicants who have also enrolled an Expression of Interest (E.O.I) profile with the Saskatchewan PNP.
The lowest-ranked Federal Express Entry applicant invited to appeal in the recent draw had an E.O.I score of 69.
The majority of applicants invited in the draw held on Oct 8 and 382 candidates were contenders below the sub-category Occupation In-Demand, which is not associated with the Express Entry system.
Qualified skilled workers with required work experience in an eligible profession and who satisfy other conditions may be invited by this stream. No employment offer is needed.
Building an E.O.I profile is also needed in order to be counted under the sub-category Occupation In-Demand.
Applicants from this sub-category, also the Saskatchewan's Express Entry sub-category, required an E.O.I profile in the S.I.N.P’s system. The minimum required EOI score for this invitation round was 69.
